Laura Saltman TV Reporter / Host / Blogger
An Emmy nominated producer/reporter/host with over 20 years’ experience in Television, Laura began her career working in infomercials alongside former Shark Tank ‘Shark’ Kevin Harrington helping create direct response campaigns which sold millions of products.
She later moved into syndicated television where she worked on the startup team that launched CBS’ live talk show “Day & Date.” She then joined the team of NBC’s just launched entertainment news program “Access Hollywood” as their youngest producer.
Laura went on to become the entertainment producer at the “Today” show and then was asked to join the team that launched “The Sharon Osbourne Show” as a talent booker and later “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” as their special projects producer.
In 2004, she returned to “Access Hollywood” as a senior producer and then became the shows digital correspondent and a weekend show correspondent with her focus based on TV.
As a host/reporter she has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, TV Guide and E as a contributor. She has appeared in non-scripted shows for WE, Oxygen and had acting roles on scripted shows for Lifetime, ABC, NBC and CBS. In 2014, with her keen eye for knowing talent and star quality and using her vast knowledge of both scripted and non-scripted television (having seen nearly every pilot produced for television since 2004), Laura left “Access Hollywood” as a correspondent to create “Sun & Spice Productions” with her former “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” colleague, Maria Solis. The company is focused on creating both syndicated TV, non-scripted and scripted content across all platforms with projects ranging from docu-soaps, to talk shows to feature films.
